Bulldog Bytes GenCyber Camps for Elementary Girls
The Bulldog Bytes team began taking the elementary camp program to local communities across Mississippi beginning in 2016 with a camp held in Columbus. This camp was funded by NCWIT's AspireIT program and directed by Aspirations in Computing award winner Mary Lee. In 2017, day camps were hosted in Columbus and West Point for elementary girls with funding from GenCyber.
Plans for 2018 include GenCyber day camps for girls in the following Mississippi communities:
Columbus, June 4 - June 8, hosted at the Mississippi School for Mathematics & Science
Decatur, June 11 - June 15, hosted at East Central Community College
Jackson, June 11 - June 15, hosted at Tougaloo College
Holly Springs. June 11 - June 15, hosted at Rust College
Eupora, June 18 - 22, hosted at Eupora First United Methodist Church
West Point, June 25 - June 29, location TBD
Who is eligible:
Rising 2nd - 5th grade girls
