  • 6 Months
  • 16 Course Hours
  • $795

Overview

Not only does our program teach you practical skills to improve your building's indoor air, it also prepares you for third-party certification by the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC). The Certified Indoor Air Quality Manager Program will educate you on all the pertinent topics covered on the certification exam. You can even take a 100-question practice examination to prepare for the exam.  Getting certified is completely optional. Exams are arranged through ACAC at computerized testing centers throughout the U.S. Certain experience requirements and fees apply to ACAC certifications, but there are no experience requirements for this online program.

Upon successful completion of this program, you'll be able to:

  • Develop a comprehensive IAQ management plan
  • Establish a system to manage IAQ complaints
  • Create an IAQ Profile for your buildings
  • Identify conditions that lead to IAQ problems
  • Solve simple IAQ problems in-house
  • Prevent IAQ problems

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to taking the CIAQM Program. There are, however, experience requirements for those students wishing to take the optional certification exam by the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC). ACAC requires a high school diploma or GED, along with two years of documented experience in property management, risk management, asset management, or corporate policy-making. Questions regarding certification should be directed to ACAC.
