Overview
The Executive Housekeeper course will prepare you for a career as a head/executive housekeeper at a hospitality group or private residence. You will be taught how to work at the highest level of housekeeping and learn to oversee all aspects of housekeeping, product use, organization, laundry, and more. You will learn the management skills necessary to serve as a supervisor of other staff members and learn how to properly train and organize a team of housekeepers.
Upon completion of this course, you will hold the qualities and skills needed to achieve a position as executive housekeeper;
Be well-versed in hiring and management practices, including:
- Working with team members and handling interpersonal issues
- Setting up staff protocols
- Creating cleaning schedules and assigning tasks
- Supervision and management methods
Gain the advanced skills and knowledge needed to effectively clean a private residence or hospitality setting, including:
- Identifying the cleaning needs of different surfaces and areas
- Correct use of cleaning products and other tools
- Laundry service – from washing to ironing
- Organizational systems for rooms, cabinets, closets, and drawers
Gain additional skill sets needed in the role of executive housekeeper, including:
- Formal table service
- Event planning
