ASAP-Accelerating Students in the Accounting Profession

Camp: July 9-12, 2017

Accelerating Students into the Accounting Profession (ASAP) is a fun-filled and interactive three-day summer camp designed for rising high school seniors to create an interest in accounting and provide an overview of the various career opportunities within the accounting profession. Campers will be housed in a campus residence hall (Hurst Hall) and get a glimpse of what college is like as a "bulldog" at Mississippi State University!

The participants will attend instructional seminars focused on enhancing professional development and success, developing team-building/leadership skills, and gaining a new perspective of the accounting profession. In addition, they will hear from accounting professionals and take a tour of a local firm to obtain a first-hand look at audit, tax, corporate accounting and advisory services. The cost of ASAP Camp is $75, which will cover room & board, meals, field trip and workshop supplies.
