Overview

Crystal Reports is used to design and generate reports from data sources such as Excel spreadsheets and Oracle, SQL Server, and Access databases. This in-depth course will prepare you for a job that requires Crystal Reports skills.  You will enhance your basic report writing skills and move into creating more complex reports. Time will be spent walking you through the tips and tricks of advanced report writing along with a good amount of hands-on practice. In addition, you will learn professional design techniques, sub-reporting, and advanced formulas.  You will also get a comprehensive introduction to SQL, which includes learning to write SQL queries, an essential skill for building applications or generating business reports. And finally, you will return to working in Crystal Reports and learn to work with SQL with Crystal Reports and with variables, loops, and geographic mapping.

Prerequisites

This course is designed for anyone with an interest in database concepts. Prior to enrolling, you should have basic computer skills and an understanding of data management and analysis programs such as Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel or equivalent.
